HOW TO FIND THE PARISH CENTRE (ROAD, RAIL, BUS, COACH)
By Road
a) If coming via M27, take Junction 7 and bear left (the Marks and Spencers/Sainsburys superstores are on your left). Get into the middle lane (the inside lane goes to the Superstores). At the first roundabout turn left. Go over the next two roundabouts and at the third turn left. You go over the motorway and come into West End (Moorgreen Hospital is on your right). Go straight on through the village and at the end of the shops on the right is Chapel Road. Turn into Chapel Road and the Parish Centre is about 200 yards on the left.
b) If coming on the A27, turn at the junction of Swaythling Road and the High Street. About a ¼ mile further on, the shops start. Turn left into Chapel Road and the Parish Centre is about 200 yards on the left.
By Rail
West End is served by 2 main stations: a) Southampton Central-this is on the main line from London (Waterloo) to Bournemouth and Weymouth. Regular fast trains take just over an hour to Southampton.
b) Southampton Airport (Parkway)-this is on the same line but is before you get to Southampton Central. You can also travel by train to Hedge End station. This is on the Waterloo/Portsmouth line.
By Bus
Buses run from Southampton, Eastleigh, Winchester, etc, to West End.
By Coach
There is a National Express coach station in Southampton that serves all parts of the country. There are direct links to Heathrow Airport, central London, etc, as well as many other destinations.
